It's a good hotel for quick trips in Butuan. It's situated in a highly accessible area with shops and convenience stores nearby. It's also easy to catch a jeep/tricycle to SM. Rooms were very comfortable and good value for the price although it could be a lot cleaner. Our room had a damp/musky smell the entire time we were there. It smelled pretty strong especially when you entered the room.
We also had a dead roach in the room, which we called housekeeping to get immediately because my brother and I are both terrified of them. The hk staff was very apologetic about the incident naman. We didn't make a big deal out of it na since it's no way the staff's fault sad but management could definitely do better with pest control.
Other than the cleanliness issue and minor service hiccups (not worth mentioning), the stay was good. I'd come back again the next time I'm in town.

Watergate Hotels might be one of the best hotels in the city the great and excellent staff our room was very clean and also has amenities like a pool and free breakfast and the food was very good.
It is also great for venues like birthdays, weddings, or seminars but it is expensive for A nights stay in Butuan City so the hotel isn't budget friendly.
But this hotel is A great place to stay, and relax and is perfect for your events I hope I can visit here again on my next overnight visit.

The hotel was really nice, the front desk was accommodating and after we checked into our rooms the housekeeper came in to explain a few things.
The wifi is pretty good, although sometimes it does cut off for a few minutes.
The only annoying thing was that they found a way to charge you for everything. Extra towels, there was a charge, etc.
For the price you were paying, things such as slippers, robes, towels, extra pillows should be free and part of the amenities you get.
You shouldn’t have to ask for slippers or extra robes when there’s more than one staying in a room.

I visited this hotel with my fiance. The room is very clean with a big bathroom and there is also a big pool right outside the room. Good breakfast buffet which was included in the price
Centrally located, so you don't have to travel far to get to any of the malls. Staff was outstanding! They're constantly cleaning and very friendly. The rooms are quite modern and have pretty much all you need. I stayed in the double bed room. They have suites that look incredible on the poolside. $$$ The only criticism I have is that the hot water was difficult to control in room 113, and parking on-site could be very difficult because of the lack of available spaces.
If you're coming to Butuan, this is the place you want to stay! Excellent service, and cleanliness! The only downside is the parking. I don't recommend driving here looking to park. You will have a hard time. They have an attached restaurant (Lime Zest) that serves good food. And there is the Fulcrum bar/cafe upstairs in the plaza that is good too! Easy access to surroundings makes this place outstanding! I will surely stay here on any future visits to Butuan.

The pool was nice and relaxing as well as refreshing.
The restaurant was amazing with the selection of foods and drinks as well as the quality of food and the staff were amazing and accommodating. Every area of the hotel including all the staff we had met I would definitely recommend staying here again.
We shall return or should I say we shall definitely return.
