Current exhibition focuses on Me Too movement in Taiwan. There’s also an LGBTQ exhibit. The building itself is interesting. Built in 1921 as a school and later became Taiwan city offices.
Bring your student card and you'll get 50% discount. If you have any big bag with you, store it at the locker with TWD deposit. And do not expect much if you cannot read Chinese but sometimes they do provide English explanation. Despite this, the arts are really cool and you can interpret them only by eyes.
A nice museum to offer some form of respite and creative stimulation after exploring Taipei. There are some engaging exhibits and interesting souvenirs to purchase. The space is very versatile and can definitely be used to showcase more creative and artistic pursuits in the future.
Beautiful building with 2 levels. You’ll need to check your bags in a coin operated locker before you enter the exhibit area. Those who collect stamps for journals may find it near the entrance just before you leave.
While the total gallery space is less than immense, the exhibits on 5 December 2023 were cool enough to make up for not having boring lulls in exhibition viewing that many larger museums have.

It was an untimely visit for me as the current exhibition in May was about media and film, which showcased the old production sets and equipments used. Sorry, but I wasn’t impressed by the showcase. Some of the pictures were displayed using masking tapes to stick on the four corners. That was so ugly and OMG to me. #unacceptable
I actually enjoyed the main reception in the museum the most as it was bright and cheerful as compared to the second floor where the media exhibition was located.
